Houston Dynamo star Sebastian Ferreira has won the latest Player of the Week in MLS football after his impressive display against LA Galaxy at the weekend. The Paraguayan attacker was involved in all the three goals on the way to a 3-0 win at LA Galaxy. His performance against LA Galaxy prompted him to be named the the MLS Player of the Week for Week 13 as presented by Continental Tire.

Ferreira, 24, began the scoring against LA Galaxy in the 11th minute when he pounced on a rebound and then produced a tap-in finish on the back of the save from goalkeeper Jonathan Bond. His goal was the difference between the two MLS football teams at the end of the first 45 minutes. Just before the hour mark, Ferreira provided the assist for the long-range strike from Canadian Tyler Pasher to double the advantage for Houston Dynamo. The MLS football match was wrapped up when Ferreira provided his second assist forThorleifurUlfarssonto score the third goal for Dynamo. Ferreira spearheaded a counterattack with Ulfarsson applying the finish after a couple of stepovers to seal the three points for his team at the expense of Galaxy.

The LA Galaxy game was the best showing by Ferreira at Houston Dynamo till date following his transfer to the club at the start of the 2022 MLS football season. His tally of one goal and two assists from the Galaxy game takes his overall tally to five goals and three assists in 12 MLS football games this season. He signed for Dynamo from Libertad in his native Paraguay.

With the away win over LA Galaxy, Houston Dynamo are in one of the playoff spots as far as the Western Conference is concerned. Dynamo will return to MLS football action this week with the MLS Week 14 clash at home to Real Salt Lake.
